Walking through the hallways as an eighth grader, one would notice some new additions to the walls in the Voyager stairs, main hall stairs, and cafeteria near the concession stand.
In the Voyager hall, a vinyl graphic of the school mascot and positive words can be found at the stairs by the entry doors. The main hallway stairs has a giant frame of various pictures and a small TV above the water fountains. Above the doors to the main hall by the concession stand, is a quote about kindness and at the entry to the cafeteria is the school name and mascot.
Principal Melanie Bosch noted that these additions totaled about $2500. Bosch thinks these additions make the school look better.
“I think the branding helps our school look more aesthetically pleasing and students usually love to be a part of it as well,” Bosch said.
Faith Roark is a seventh grader on the Pathfinder team. She hadn’t noticed the new school name and mascot graphic in the cafeteria but noticed the kindness graphic and giant frame of students. She likes that it has some people from this year in it. She also has thoughts about the new TV
“I feel like the TV is not much needed but the messages are cool,” Roak said
Lucy Edwards is an eighth grader on the voyagers team and she has mixed feelings about being on the picture in the main hallway stairs.
“I like it and I don’t at the same time because I like how they choose my picture to be represented,” Edwards said. “I don’t like how they made it so big and the red pop [of color] but other than that I like the photos.”
Some former students that are now high schoolers are found in the main hallway frame. One is Freshman Jayla Barrow.
