Boys wrestling ended the season off great. Every boy worked hard and they all improved throughout the season. All the boys had an amazing record and were mostly happy about how the season ended.
Head coach for boys wrestling is Chris Ray who has been a head coach for 10 years. He felt the season went well. He is also a teacher on the Voyagers team where he teaches social studies.
“The goal for me is get the boys excited about wrestling and get them as many good matches as possible,” Ray said.
Everett Stone is a seventh grader on the Pathfinder team. He went 19-4 this season. He wrestled at 135. He felt like the season went well. He prefers the away meets so he can see friends from other schools.
“[My overall goal was]to win most of my matches,” Stone said.”[The hardest school was] Campbell Middle School.”
Kalel Phillips is an eighth grader on the Navigators team. He wrestled at 145. His overall record was 9-8 and he was kinda happy how the season ended.
“My goal for the season was to have a winning record and I get at least two medals,” Phillips said.”My favorite meet was the home meet because I was able to hangout with my friends.”
Ian Davis, seventh grader on the Explorer team. His record was 19-4. He was very happy about how the season ended. Davis preferred wrestling at other schools. He enjoyed the Blue Springs Meet.
“It was hyped and it made me wrestle better,” Davis said.
