OTMS Productions students create the 64 full color pages yearbook that is handed out on the last day of school. They cost $25.
Melissa Woodward is the advisor for the yearbook and teacher of OTMS Productions. She only has 400 books made and currently 158 are left to buy.
“For some reason in middle school kids wait till the last second to order,” Woodward said. “I think, too, when they realize that we might sell out, kids think ‘oh i wanna get a yearbook!’”
Scarlett Sanchez is a seventh grader on the Trail Blazers. She made the yearbook spread for her team.
“I feel honored and I’m kinda surprised that I got chosen because the other spreads were pretty good,” Sanchez said.
Matthew Ingram is on the Navigator team. He was in charge of doing the family spread with Nevaeh Griffin which was one of the most loved spreads. Students really loved his spread due to the “guess who” that he included.
“I’m pretty sure mine was the best,” Ingram said.
Woodward is proud of all the work that kids have done so far.
“Seeing their ideas and creations, seeing the designs that they are able to come up with.. It’s usually better than anything that I would make on my own,” Woodward said.
Orders can be place using code 3159 at yearbookordercenter.com or buying it on the school store through Infinite Campus. Woodward will also accept cash or a check if money is brought to her room.
