After 32 years of teaching, Misty Couch, FACS teacher, is retiring. 

Couch has taught Family and Consumer Science in the same room for her entire career.  Many students have taken her class.

“It makes me happy to see students happy and learning,” Couch said.

Couch loves her job.  Her goal was to make an impact on at least one of her students’ lives.  She loves that some of her former students are now her friends. 

“It was a really hard decision for me to make because I love teaching cooking,” Couch said. “It’s so much fun.”

Couch knew it was time to work on other things.

“I’m going to travel,” Couch said. “I’ll still have to work, and I’ll keep working on my farm.”
