About
COMMENT POLICY
The OTMS Productions classes are an elective class offered to 7th and 8th grade students at Osage Trail Middle School in the Fort Osage School District. We maintain three accounts (Falcon Flyer, Facebook, and Instagram) to connect, interact and inform the OTMS community which includes staff, students and their families. Users with Facebook and Instagram have already agreed to the terms of these social media platforms.
All the content on our platforms are created by students and we would like feedback on our work. We encourage our readers to comment on any of our posts, so we can see their thoughts and reactions. Sharing of opinions, making suggestions, and taking part in conversations is welcomed, but in order to keep our page focused we have to put some commenting guidelines in place.
We ask our readers to be appropriate by being polite and RESPECTFUL of individuals’ opinions, especially if a discussion becomes heated. We also ask them to show proper consideration for the privacy of others. Inappropriate comments will not be approved and will be deleted. These include:
- harmful or hurtful comments that are mean or could be considered bullying
- off topic comments
- profanity
- personal attacks, slanderous, or libelous comments targeted at any individual or group
- discriminatory comments
- comments that contain self-harm, violence, threats or advocate illegal acts
- spam
- political views that do not pertain to the content posted
- misinformation or false information
OTMS Productions students will monitor comments daily during school hours. Our advisor will monitor them daily after school hours. If a comment is approved, it means it met the above criteria. An approved comment does not mean an endorsement from anyone part of the OTMS Productions classes, OTMS, or the Fort Osage School District.
Many Facebook and Instagram posts might be kept to use as instructional examples for future OTMS Productions students. Some posts and comments associated with them might be removed while others might be archived when they are no longer deemed timely.
