The volleyball teams are excited for the upcoming season to start against Antioch on Sept. 12.

Head coach April Agate and assistant coach Melissa Woodward started the season on August 17 with tryouts. Forty-four girls tried out and 18 were kept to make the two teams.

“I am excited for the upcoming season and am most excited for the growth that the team makes,” Agate said in an email.

‘A’ team consists of eight players. Lilyenn McFarland is a right side hitter.

“I am most definitely excited for the upcoming season and there are so many things that I’m excited for,” McFarland said in an email. “I’m most excited to play with the same girls that I have played with most of my volleyball career, and I’m excited to watch us learn and grow as a team to not only watch myself get better but my good friends.”

‘B’ team consists of 10 players. Lehualina Taula is a middle hitter.

“I am excited for the upcoming season. I am most excited for the games, and my growth,” Taula said.

Their first tournament will be held on Sept. 24th and fourth game will be held on Sept. 26th.
